Shorts season is upon us and there is no doubt they are a wardrobe essential this time of year. I scoured the web for the best shorts available this year. These styles are the best shorts for summer 2022 and are recurring best-selling styles at several retailers. Some of my favorites this year have longer inseams and pull-on styles. Comfort is number one on my list when it comes to shorts, especially as a busy mom. If it isn’t comfortable, odds are they will go unworn!

Raw Hem Shorts

The 90s are back again! This time, it is the raw hem mom jeans. I recently share a post covering some of the best mom jeans and after all of this window shopping for shorts, it is clear that this trend is carrying over into shorts as well. Here are some of my top picks

 

Black Denim Shorts

If there is one pair of shorts I recommend, it is a comfortable pair of black denim shorts. They’re slightly elevated, as compared to regular blue denim, but still so comfortable. They’re also extremely versatile and can be dressed up or down easily. I featured black shorts in my Spring Capsule and am highly considering it again for the Summer capsule!

 

White Shorts

Pretty & bright! There so much to love about a crisp pair of white shorts. I prefer to pair with neutrals and love contrasting white shorts with a black top. However, when it comes to summer these pair so well with bright summer colors and pastels.

 

Pull-On Shorts

I recently bought this pair from Target and cannot stop wearing them! They are easy to wear, lightweight, and have pockets. A pull on short with pocket is essential for running around with the kids or running errands. I love having both an elastic waistband and a pocket to slip my phone in.

 

Active Shorts

High waisted active shorts are everywhere, making them on of the best shorts for Summer 2022. Had to include some in this post! Also sharing some biker shorts. Personally, these are not my personal favorite, however almost every retailer sells them so I had to share!
