Today, we’re journeying back to the early 2000s to revisit some Y2K trends that are resurfacing and others we hope have disappeared for good. Born in 1989, the 2000s marked my high school and college years, a time when my love for fashion truly ignited. I devoured fashion magazines, worked at a mall, and invested every dime in updating my wardrobe. But enough about me—let’s explore some of the most iconic 2000s fashion trends.

Low Rise Jeans

The most obvious and iconic style of the decade. I recall our high school dress code was adamant about enforcing the “no midriff” rule, probably because every girl in school was wearing low rise jeans! Low rise jeans are making a comeback in 2024, thankfully the styles I have seen on the market are not quite as low as they were in the mid-2000s.

Mini Skirts

Denim and ruffled cotton skirts are hallmark styles from the 2000s. But they had to be SHORT. Micro skirts were made popular by starlets such as Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and Nicole Richie. This is another comeback trend we are seeing more in 2024, get ready for it!

Lace Trim Camis

During the 2000s, it seemed to be the only way to finish an outfit was to wear a lace-trimmed camisole as the base layer. It took me several years to break the habit of wearing tank tops beneath every outfit.

Monogram Handbags

POV: It’s 2007 and you go to a purse party during the to buy an overpriced knock off coach purse. We all remember these bags, the purses with an all over logo.

Y2k Shield Sunglasses

Who didn’t want to cover 1/4 of their face with what essentially was a ski shield. So funny and I hope this does not make a comeback in women’s fashion, though there I have spotted quite a few men’s sunnies like this recently.

Ballet Flats

Timeless and chic, this footwear style peaked in the 2000s for daytime attire. Y2k flats contain embellishment such as bow, patterns, or chunky crystals. The Mary Jane style flat is trending this year and honestly, I hope they never go out of style.

Going Out Tops

Your bestie calls and asks what you’re wearing to the mall before the party on Friday night. Your response? A going out top, because you don’t wear going out tops to school, they’re for trips to the mall and things like that. Stores like Charlotte Russe and Wet Seal were the places to shop going out tops. 

Pencil Skirts for Going Out

Business casual in the club was the second best outfit option next to going out tops. But not just a plain black skirt, no, the y2k pencil skirts were full of character. Tribal prints, bright color, animal print, faux lace, and so many other options. This is one of those trends we look at and wonder how it became so popular. 

Logo Polos

Hollister and Abercrombie are the most iconic polo shirts of 2000s fashion trends. These stores would have an entire wall dedicated to polo shirts in an array of bold colors. This was the base to the ultra popular preppy look of the decade and was the essential top to wear with low rise jeans. 

Tracksuit Sets

Velour pants paired with a matching zip up hoodie. A grab and go outfit of the 2000s. The pants are of course low rise and a lace trim cami is a must have under the zip up.

Yoga Pants

This is when Victoria’s Secret PINK entered the chat. The rolled over waistband with PINK spelled across the backside in rhinestones. In today’s fashion market they are called flared leggings, but don’t be fooled flare leggings are really OG yoga pants. 

Hoop Earrings

A must have accessory and the bigger, the better. Rhinestone rimmed or solid silver was the way to go for trendy hoop earrings of the 2000s. 

Hair Clips

Plastic butterfly clips are a nostalgic 2000s trend used in various hairstyles. Whether spread throughout the hair or as a finishing piece to braided rows. This is another trend making a comeback, mostly because it was a way to polish off several of The Eras Tour outfits during 2023. 

Camo Cargos

Cargos and carpenter style jeans are another iconic denim trend from this era. Of course, the hottest styles were ultra low rise. These could easily be worn with polo shirts or graphic tees. I distinctly remember going shopping for legit men’s camo cargos with my sister in high school so that we would have a pair to wear to football games and spirit day. You know, that’s what all the cool girls were wearing.

Trucker Hats

Who remembers the Von Dutch hats? Overpriced and colorful trucker style hats. To avoid wasting my money on one hat, I decided a Roxy trucker hat from Pac Sun was an affordable alternative I should invest in back in the day. 20 years later, here we are, and the 2000s fashion trends trucker hats are back!!

Boots with the Fur

Flo Rida and T-Pain’s 2007 hip hop song paid tribute to this memorable trend. This was more than sherpa lined Ugg boots we know and love today. “Boots with the fur” came in all sorts of colors and styles. From leather heels trimmed with plush faux fur, to boots literally covered in faux fur, there were endless furry boots styles. 

Crystal Accessories

The crystal initial necklaces from Claire’s. This was the hottest “it girl” trend for high schoolers in the early 2000s. During this timeframe, Hollywood fashionistas could be spotted wearing crystal covered tanks or glitzy rhinestone handbags.

Distressed “holy” Jeans

This was another dress code item I distinctly remember. Holy jeans were a big no in school, oh but come the weekend you wore those jeans as much as possible! The kicker was that these jeans cost significantly more than a standard pair of polished denim. Parents everywhere were shaking there heads saying “I would wear my jeans until they had holes like this!”

Studded Belts

You can thank Avril Lavigne for this 2000s trend, made popular when she rose to fame during this fashion era. If you went through the infamous punk girl phase, you likely owned a studded belt. You know, the ones with double holes all the way around. Grab your roxy purse and Hurley court sneakers and you were STYLING!

Tube Tops

Cute and simple, tube tops were everywhere! Wear them alone or with a little white t-shirt underneath. One of the most iconic 2000s fashion trends that is also set to make a comeback in 2024 and beyond.

Compiling this list of 2000s fashion trends was highly enjoyable and nostalgic. It’s fascinating to observe the resurgence of these styles! Camouflage pants, tube tops, trucker hats, hoop earrings, mini skirts, low-rise jeans, and ballet flats are all on trend in 2024 and seem set to stay fashionable for some time.

The number of Instagram ads for Halara pants and dresses is overwhelming. It is time to give this clothing brand a try and provide my full and honest Halara review. Is Halara legit and is the clothing worth the hype?! Read on for my personal experience.

Perhaps you’re also familiar with this social media savvy clothing company. It’s easy to come across a young influencer praising Halara activewear and likening it to renowned and expensive name brands. For this review, I purchased a pair of pants, a pair of joggers, and a tank top.

As with all of my reviews, this Halara review is unsponsored by the company. All of the items were purchased with my own money so that I can provide an unbiased and honest opinion to you.

In this review, I’ll also share a little bit about Halara, how to shop on the site, what product reviews are like, shipping info, return policy, and more. 

What is Halara?

Halara is an athleisure clothing company offering a huge selection of women’s pieces. Comfort and style are on the forefront of their most popular items. The Halara site claims that the brands strives to incorporate customer feedback into the creation of products. From fabric to colors, to design details. 

For example, the image below (credit to Halara.com) showcases 10 fabrics designed in response to customer needs and requests. This made me intrigued to try out certain fabrics.

Like many fast fashion brands, Halara offers a HUGE selection of clothing but the price points are above my comfort level, especially for being such a new (to me) brand.

My focus of this review was to see if the quality aligns to the prices and if it is accurate to compare (as social media influencers do) Halara to other well known and established name brands.

What does Halara sell?

Halara sells primarily athleisure attire. Here are the main clothing categories:

• Pants & Joggers
• Skirts & Skorts
• Dresses
• Shorts & Bikers
• Leggings
• Tops
• Jumpsuits
• Denim

Sizing is available for both regular and plus for select items.

It is safe to say they focus on comfort. I don’t know if any of their bottoms contains a functioning button. All of the denim and pants seem to have stretchy elastic waist bands.

The straight leg pants I ordered feel like golf pant material, though online the image appears as be regular cotton pants.

Is Halara affordable?

This one is up for debate, depending on your budget and clothing standards. It isn’t dirt cheap like other brands you see plastered on social media ads but you can definitely snag a good deal with promo codes, sales, etc.

For two pairs of pants and I tank top I paid about $88 with tax and a promo code. After receiving the physical products, I would say they are slightly overpriced for my liking. Fabric is thinner than anticipated and I am curious to see how it will hold up over time and if these items are ones I will reach for regularly.

Another thing to point out is that I have seen some items for sale on Amazon that are very, very similar to those for sale on Halara. Amazon usually has a better prices, though I have not done a physical comparison of these items, just wanted to point it out.

Is Halara Fast Fashion?

Initially, I got fast fashion vibes when scrolling through the seemingly endless number of items. However, Halara isn’t a true fast fashion company.

While the average fast fashion brand releases new items on a weekly or even daily basis, Halara takes a different approach. Although they offer trendy items that may not be available for the long haul, some of their bestsellers have remained popular for years.

I also read on their site that they do no produce excessive inventory, rather they produce as they receive demand which is not something your average fast fashion brand will do.

Halara Review: My Experience with the online site

Overall, I was pleased with the online site. It was easy to navigate and find what I was looking for.

If you recall from my TEMU review, searching on some of the viral sites can be frustrating. But I didn’t experience this with Halara. Even though there are so many products to scroll through, there are not a lot of annoying popups or ticking countdowns.

Searching for Products on Halara

Searching for specific items is very easy.

The search bar was located on the top and always in view.

Relevant items were returned with each search I did. As you’ll recall from my past reviews, other sites don’t always produce relevant search results.

What Are the Halara Reviews like?

The product reviews on Halara are pretty good and helped me make my purchasing decisions.

For each product, there’s a small summary of the customers review. THis summary provide the average star rating as well as the customer sizing report. See below.

Beyond that summary, you can browse the various customer reviews with their specific star rating and brief explanation.

A majority of the reviews I read were brief, with 5 words or less. Periodically you will come across a review with greater detail. Don’t expect to read discertations like you would on other shopping platforms. 

When shopping online for clothing, I personally prefer to read detailed customer reviews, especially those with provided customer height and weight to get an idea if the product will be a good fit for me. Unfortunately, those type of reviews are rare on Halara products. Therefore, I relied heavily on the little review summary box for my purchases.

What I bought From Halara & Initial Impressions

For this review I purchased three items. Halara pants were recurring themes in Halara ads I saw, therefore I was intentional about buying pants. I also opted for a tank top just to see if their athletic material lives up to the hype.

Here’s what I got:

1. High Waisted Button Multiple Pockets Straight Leg Casual Pants
2. Softlyzero Airy High Waisted Drawstring Side Pocket Plain Cool Touch Full Length Joggers 
3. Cut Out Crossover Hem Solid Yoga Tank Top

Overall, my first impression of the Halara items I ordered were good. Upon opening, I really liked the feel of the fabric and the overall appearance of the items. Below is my detailed review of each item.

For reference, I am just shy of 5’6″ and about 130 pounds. Typically a size S/M in tops and 4/27/M in pants.

Halara Review: Straight Leg Pants: 

These pants are nice out of the package, though I am not in love. From the product images online, I was expecting a different type of fabric. These literally are athletic fabric and feel very smooth, almost slick. 

With being a gray color (storm), they show everything. I feel like I need shapewear underneath, though I’m not confident that would even help.

Looking back at the product information online today, I see now the product description, material composition, etc. When I originally purchased these pants I missed this info. It is sort of hidden beneath the “you may also like” section and you have to expand the details using the “+”, which is not ideal. So keep in mind when shopping.

SIZING: I grabbed these in Medium with regular length. I normally size up one in shorts and bottoms to a medium and did the same with these pants, even though the size small online indicates it is equivalent to a 4/6 (my true pant size). I am glad I went one size up because the waist is snug. The length is about an inch short for my liking, I’ll only be able to wear flat shoes with these.

I paid about $35 for these pants, which is overpriced for my liking. If they fit better, the price would have been worth it, however I don’t see myself reaching for these regularly in the future.

UPDATE: After trying on and taking these pictures, I am returning these pants. They are not cute on me, the waist band is tight and the button placement is not flattering. These would be best for someone with an athletic or rectangular body shape.

These pants have multiple pockets, however they appear to be more for style that functionality, in my opinion. 

Buttons are exposed and not functional. The waistband is fully elastic with no opening/closure. 

With all of that in mind, these are a nice lightweight pant. While they do run a bit small, the fabric is breathable and would be great to wear in warm weather! Color is as depicted in the online images. I give these Halara pants a rating of 3/5 stars.

Halara Review: Joggers

These are my favorite item of the purchase. They are made of the Halara trademarked “Softlyzero” airy fabric. It is essentially smooth legging like fabric made in the form of joggers. 

My initial impression upon opening was that they were super soft and had the features I was hoping for: high waist drawstring jogger with pockets. The only downside is that they had a horrible smell upon opening, I hoping it goes away as the washed. None of the other products I ordered had this problem

Trying them on, I am very happy with the fit, length, and feel. They offer light compression in the waist and are not tight on the leg, but fitted and sit nicely. I love the ultra high waist!

The drawstring and pockets are fully functioning. The pockets do bunch up a little bit, however since I ordered black it isn’t noticeable nor does it bother me much. 

SIZING: I ordered a Medium regular in the Halara joggers and like how they fit. The waist is comfortable and not as snug as the straight leg pants. The length is perfect for me, they hit just at my ankle.

This particular Halara fabric is described online as having cloud-like softness, smooth feel, four way stretch, sweat-wicking, and breathable. I agree with all of these characteristics and am looking forward to wearing these in the Summer. I give these Halara joggers a rating of 4/5 stars.

Halara Tank Review

This is a good tank top for working out! The fabric is soft, stretchy, and breathable. Sizing runs true to size.

This is listed under the “best sellers” category. I ordered this Halara tank top in white. My initial impression that product appeared to how the images were online. Fabric was soft and stretchy. No smell to the tank top upon opening which was a plus!

Trying on the tank top, I loved the fit and flow. I could move my arms freely without it becoming a crop top. The white color is not sheer. The back is an open flap style and is very cute.

SIZING: I normally order a medium in workout tops and did so with this one. It runs true to size. The crew neck was not tight and the arm holes are not saggy. The fit is very flattering and would suit many different body types.

I would recommend this to a friend! I give this Halara tank top 5/5 stars. 

Shipping time for my Halara Order

Shipping time was painful for me, over one month from order confirmation to delivery. My Halara order was placed on the 25th and I received it THE FOLLOWING month, on the 30th.

Like I said, painful.

Looking back, there was an item on a delayed preorder so I guess that was part of the issue.  I don’t recall seeing that explicity stated prior to adding that item to my cart. If I had been aware of the delay, I certainly would have ordered something else instead! The entire order shipped together, rather than one piece at a time/ as available.

My order did receive free shipping because I spent more than $49. That was a plus!

Halara Review: My Final Verdict

Would I purchase from Halara again? Probably not.

The fit of the pants were a big miss for me, especially for the price! I expected a better fit from all of the ads I saw and rave pictures of influencers online. They just didn’t work for me.

Shipping is another major downfall from this order. Over a month. My advise? Beware of pre-order items before you purchase!

I will say that if you are super athletic or into athletic clothing, this might be a great clothing brand for you! In addition to the two downfalls I noted previously, I also do not have much of a need for athletic wear. I’m more of a jeans (with functioning zipper) and a cotton t-shirt kinda gal!

What I would buy next for a Halara review

The one item I am curious about is leggings! I feel like there are so many types and fabrics available on Halara it could take a while to find the *perfect* legging. Here’s a full list of what I would try next.

1. Classic black leggings
2. Leopard Biker Shorts
3. Corduroy Skirt with built in shorts!

This active dress might be a good option for those looking for one! This is one of their more popular items and is in the same fabric as the joggers I have! I like that this one has shorts under, rather than a one piece romper style. Very practical and easy to wear!

This is the current return policy.

As of writing this post, returns are accepted within 30 days of the delivery date and there are exceptions to that. Return shipping costs are also covered by the customer as of now. Be sure to review the return policy on their website for current policy terms.

The Halara return process must be initiated by the customer. The process is not complete until the item has been received and inspected by Halara. 

I’m going to return the gray pants I purchased. When complete I’ll be sure to update this post with that experience!

Halara Clothing Company: Is Halara Legit?

Yes, Halara is a legit clothing company. 

Based on the products I purchased for this Halara review I can confirm the products I received were the ones advertised online.

Compared to other social media viral clothing sites I’ve shopped in the past, I felt comfortable and confident during my entire shopping experience. Sometimes, these websites can come across as a scam but I did not have this impression during my time shopping Halara.

Is Halara a good Brand?

This is a highly subjective question. It will depend for every person. Learn more about Halara and sustainability efforts. It also doesn’t hurt to look at resources outside of the company site!

Is Halara similar to Lululemon?

Both sell activewear.

Seriously, that’s about it for me. Sure, some of their items are very similar in appearance but the companies are different. Lululemon has a much smaller selection of classic items. Halara has more variety of clothing products in my opinion, from trendy to classic items.

In terms of quality, I have not owned my Halara items long enough to speak to durability.

I spent $115 at NAKD so you don’t have to

Before we get to the NA-KD review, let’s clear the air. This post is not in any way sponsored by NA-KD. I personally paid for all of the items shown in this post and am sharing my personal experience.

It seems like every other day there’s a new affordable clothing brand flooding my feed on social media. With the styles offered by NAKD, I couldn’t pass this one by.

As an affordable fashion blogger, I wanted to share my unbiased opinion with you based on my personal experience before you go and spend your own money (or not) at this retailer.

In this review, I’ll share a little bit about the brand, how to shop on the site, what product reviews are like, shipping info, return policy, and more. I bought a four items for a total of $115 and will share my thoughts on those items in this post too!

What is NA-KD

NAKD is a Swedish fashion company that sells trendy clothing and accessories, plus select beauty products. NA-KD utilizes social media and community outreach to market products globally. 

One look at their Instagram feed, with 3M+ followers, and you will quickly see this is every fashionista’s dream! A few words that come to mind as I browse the clothing selection at NAKD: sophisticated, timeless, and chic.

The retailer often partners with fashion-forward influencers to create and promote small clothing collections.

Where can I find NAKD fashion?

NAKD clothing is sold on the NA-KD website, the NA-KD mobile app, and at Asos! It is important to note there is only a limited, but great, selection of items from this brand available at Asos.

For this review, I purchased directly from the website.

What does NAKD sell?

Products offered by NA-KD include clothing, accessories, and beauty products. 

Here are just a few of the specific categories currently available:

• Dresses
• Tops
• Sweaters
• Blazers
• Sets
• Sleepwear
• Jeans
• Shorts
• Swimwear
• Makeup

As you can see, they have pretty much every type of clothing item. In my opinion, it is an excellent selection to build an effortlessly chic wardrobe. As of writing this post they had over 7k products available to browse on their website.

Searching for products on NAKD

The extensive selection of items pleased me, and I am impressed with the functionality of the search bar!

I have personally found it challenging to search for specific products on other sites, like this one. NA-KD however, provided relevant results when I searched for a specific product.

Below are the results when searching for a blue tank top. As you can see, six perfectly blue tank tops. 

What Are the Product Reviews like?

As of writing this post, customers are unable to leave product reviews on the NAKD website. This is my biggest drawback because I love to read reviews, especially before purchasing clothing online.

I will point out that the product details page does contain a numerical count of hearts for each product.

For example, below is the tank top I purchased and it has over 22k hearts. I am uncertain if this is the number of purchases or actual customer feedback/likes.

I was unable to provide product feedback after I received my order.

What I bought from NA-KD

For this NAKD review, I purchased 4 items. All of which are clothing basics that I plan to wear a lot. In addition to wardrobe basics, they do have a large selection of trendy items. I saw a lot of unique pieces that would be great for concerts, date night, or other fun events.

Spoiler: I love everything! Here is my full NA-KD review of each item.

Oversized Knitted Dress: This dress is beyond soft and color is true to the product image shown online! I ordered the brown and it was on sale for $20.99! I could have done a small, considering this has an oversized fit, but I went with a medium for a little extra length and love how it fits. I’m just shy of 5’6″ for reference. I plan on wearing as is or cinched at the waist with a belt. This dress also comes in beige, either color would be great for Fall and Winter. 

Round Neck Top: A great wardrobe staple! This top is currently available in six neutral colors, making it great for layering or wearing alone. I went with the beige in a small for a more fitted look and am happy with the fit. The material is ribbed and stretchy! I will say the fabric had a slight chemical smell when i opened the package but it does not smell after wash.

Ribbed Tank: The tank top I didn’t know I needed. I already own a similar style tank in black and white, so I opted for the blue on this one and love it! I usually shy away from bold colors, but this shade looked so appealing online, and I find it even more delightful in person. It is currently available in 10 different colorways! You’ll definitely want to grab one of these! For sizing, since this tank is 95% cotton, I ordered a medium size to accommodate any potential shrinkage from the dryer.

Raw Edge Slit Denim: In my opinion denim will make or break a retailer in terms of customer reviews. I am delighted to report that NA-KD denim has met my expectations! This was my first experience ordering denim with EU sizing, and although I was quite apprehensive, the fit was perfect. It’s crucial to adhere to their sizing and measurement chart. The jeans are slightly long for me; I stand just under 5’6″, and even when wearing 2-inch heels, the jeans still graze the floor. I might trim an inch or two off the bottom since they already feature a raw hem. The jeans have just the right amount of stretch, making them a comfortable choice that I’ll likely wear frequently throughout the year!

What is product sizing like?

Products follow the EU size chart. However, the NA-KD website offers a conversion chart and measurement chart, both of which I found to be accurate.

The measurements tab is in centimeters, however I converted my measurement in inches to centimeters to determine my size. Ultimately, the size I purchased fit really well! I recommend following the measurements on their charts.

What is NA-KD’s return Policy?

As of this post, this is the NA-KD return policy.

Returns are currently accepted within 15 days of when the product is received. There is a return fee, which varies based on your country so that is something to consider! Be sure to check out the current return policy linked above for all of the current information.

I personally did not need to return any of the items from my order, therefore I cannot provide feedback on the actual return process and timing.

Does NAKD have free shipping?

As of writing this post, yes they offer free shipping. However, there was a shipping fee of $0.99 applied to my order. 

You can read more about their sustainability efforts in transportations here. Also, your specific shipping costs, time, and options will be provided at checkout before you place the order.

My checkout experience at NA-KD

The checkout process at NA-KD was simple and straightforward.

When I was done shopping, I entered my payment information via a secure page and immediately received an order confirmation number after a successful submission.

An order confirmation email was also sent immediately to my provided email address with all of the order information. 

How long does shipping take?

From my experience, shipping was quicker than I originally anticipated. Upon order placement, I did not receive an estimate of when I should expect my order to arrive.

My order was placed on the 9th and I received it (in the U.S.) on the 14th!

Timing could vary based on a number of factors, this was my personal experience.

What is the customer service like at NAKD?

I did not utilize customer support for my order however, customer service is easily accessible.

Users can contact support via the website using the customer care section found at both the top and bottom of each page. 

When I received the order confirmation email, there was a button to contact customer support should I have any questions or concerns about the order. 

Pros of NAKD

After this order I have several positive takeaways, including:

• Product selection: While this clothing style may not be for everyone, I personally loved the majority of items available for purchase. These is a good mix of both trendy pieces as well as timeless pieces that can be worn for years to come.
• Product quality: I was pleased with the quality of every item I received. It is a bonus that I could review the material composition of every item before purchase.
• Searchability: As stated above, the search bar produced relevant results and was very user friendly.
• Sizing: By following the provided size charts, all of the products I ordered fit very well! There are multiple conversions charts available, which is not commonly provided by retailers. This made it super easy and quick to find the exact size I needed.
• Transparency: Check out NA-KD’s commitment to sustainability. Each product page also contains detailed information regarding the materials & care, origin, and shipping/returns. There is also a plethora of information available on their site about their initiatives and goals!
• Shipping: Rather quick. Took less than one week for my order to arrive after placing it. I also received numerous updates throughout the transit process.
• Pricing: I paid $115 for four quality items including, denim, a sweater dress, and two tops. Two of the items were on sale at the time of purchase. Do not miss their sale section! They often run sales and have a great selection of discounted pieces.

Cons of NAKD

Overall, my experience with NAKD had one flaw: the absence of product reviews. While it wasn’t a deal-breaker for me, I heavily rely on them for online clothing purchases.

Would I recommend NAKD fashion?

Yes! From sustainability initiatives to the pricing I am very pleased with my entire NAKD order experience! 

NAKD is very transparent, which I appreciate. From product material information to sustainability efforts, information was presented clearly and was easy to find.

In just a few quick clicks, I could learn all about the product I was buying and I could also easily find information about the company itself. By the way, NA-KD is one to watch in terms of sustainable fashion. They have a number of initiatives and goals i found to be very impressive.

For me transparency builds trust and after this order I can confidently say I would order from NAKD again.

I have been wearing the social media famous Vivaia shoes for several years and today is the day I share my experience with you! As a busy working mom to two little boys, I am super particular about my footwear. The shoes I reach for the most day to day are comfortable, practical and versatile. In this Vivaia shoes review, I’m sharing what you need to know about these shoes. If you are considering adding these to your wardrobe, I hope this post is helpful!

Vivaia reached out to me a few years back and offered to send a pair of shoes for me to try out so I said why not! They looked comfortable and I was impressed with some of the brief reviews I saw. Spoiler alert, after wearing the Aria 5° flat for a few days I fell in love. Before long I was seeing the brand all over social media.

So are they worth the price? How comfortable are they, really? Do they hold up well? I’m here to answer all of your questions on the viral Vivaia footwear based on my experience.

Vivaia Shoes Overview

Vivaia (pronounced vi-vai-yah) is an eco-friendly company that began in 2020. The company sustainability effort is primarily focused on the material used to make the shoes. Recycled plastic water bottles are repurposed into threads used to create the upper shoe material. In addition, they strive to be a 100% carbon-neutral company in the future.

While shoes are the primary product sold by Vivaia, they also have a small selection of clothing and accessories. The footwear is their bread and butter though!

Flats are one of their best selling styles. I would consider the shoes to be high quality and moderately priced. What sets them apart from typical shoes is that most feature a woven knit upper portion. 

Vivaia shoes are soft and hug your foot similar to a sock. The bottom portion is typically a rubber like material and provides moderate support. Most shoes can be washed in the washing machine and are super flexible. You may compare these to Rothy’s.

What I love are the different toe shapes available for their various styles. For example, ballet flats are available in pointed-toe, round-toe, and square-toe. 

The Vivaia Shoes I Wear

For this review, I will be sharing my experience with the Aria 5° ballet flat. This is a very popular and versatile shoe that will fit into nearly any wardrobe style.

As of writing this post, this shoe was available in 34 different color options! from neutral to bold, there is literally a color for every style type!

Before these shoes, I was skeptical of the brand. Now I can confidently say these flats are great! So comfortable and stylish. Fit TTS on my standard width foot. These are lightweight, have cushion, and easy to care for.

I find the toe area to be generously sized and expandable, which is hard to come by in pointed-toe footwear. My toes never feel cramped in these.

There was no breaking in required on these shoes. From day 1 they felt great and I experience no discomfort when wearing these. 

My feet do have one small bunion as a result of wearing heels on hard surfaces for years, therefore I have to be careful with pointed toe shoes. I never feel as though these are too tight or cause my bunion pain to flare up. 

Another thing to note is that these are obviously not water proof, which I knew before getting. However, that is the only thing that keeps me from wearing these flats more often because where I live we often have wet/snowy/damp conditions.

As of writing this post, shoe prices range from $49-$199. This includes sale prices and full priced items. 

The current retail price of  the Aria 5° flat, from my review above, is $97.

As of writing this post, Vivaia site says it extended the “free return and exchange policy to 30 days from the date you receive items purchased online. Please note that final sale items and gifts are excluded from this policy. To be eligible for returns or exchanges, items must be unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and include all original tags and packaging.”

My Final Thoughts

Are Vivaia shoes worth it? Yes, as you can tell from my review above, these shoes are great and I really don’t have any complaints. I plan on purchasing other styles to compare quality, fit, etc.

The Vivaia shoes literally feel like walking on clouds. Some reviews mention that it doesn’t feel like they’re wearing anything when they have these shoes on. 

My only hesitation is the waterproof factor, however that is simply due to the weather conditions where I live. I would love it if these shoes were four season appropriate. It’s no secret these shoes are not waterproof, therefore I plan outfits accordingly to incorporate these shoes whenever I can.

Two other factors I absolutely love are the durability and how easy they are to clean. This is a must for me as a mom of two young boys!

Are Vivaia shoes comfortable?

Vivaia shoes are very comfortable and feel like walking on a cloud, in my opinion. 

Are Vivaia shoes for bunions?

Yes! I have a small bunion and find the pointed-toe flat very comfortable. The fabric molds around the shape of your foot and is very flexible, which is a must for bunions! Vivaia also recommends sizing up one for bunions, which I assume is for larger bunions.

Are Vivaia shoes easy to clean?

These shoes are easy to clean. It is important to note, not all of their shoes are machine washable, so be mindful of that when shopping.

Vivaia also sells cleaning kits.

What is the quality like?

Vivaia shoe quality is amazing. Although the material is mostly knit, it holds up so well. I have had my black flats for multiple years and they still look great. 

The knit fabric is flexible yet durable and does not irritate my skin.

Is Vivaia a sustainable company?

Vivaia has sustainability initiative by being eco-conscious, utilizing recycled materials, and by working toward becoming 100% carbon-neutral.

Are Vivaia shoes legit?

Absolutely, yes! I was skeptical at first, but now I am a believer. I look forward to trying another style soon!

As of this Vivaia shoes review, shipping is free on orders over $99.

Biker shorts vary in length, anywhere from a 3 inch to 9 inch inseam. In my personal opinion, I prefer an inseam of 5-7 inches.

What underwear goes best with biker shorts?

Much like leggings, biker shorts are prone to VPL (visible panty line), so you have to be mindful when selecting undergarments to wear with your biker shorts. What to wear to a country concert besides cowboy boots?

Did you notice there were 5 outfits above that did not incorporate cowboy boots. This may be an unpopular opinion, but you do not need to wear boots to a country concert. Here is what I recommend instead of boots:

• low profile sneakers
• embellished sandals
• classic flip flops
• Double strap rubber sandals

What I would wear to a Morgan Wallen Concert

As a lifelong country music fan, I began going to concerts around 2008. Along the way, I learned a thing or two about what to wear to a country concert. Here are just a few Morgan Wallen concert outfits styled with pieces from my personal wardrobe. I could have created a bunch more, these seemed to be the most practical.
