Do you have to wear bowling shoes?

Most bowling alleys require special shoes be worn on the lanes. If you don’t have a professional pair of bowling shoes, you can rent a pair from the venue.

 

What socks should I wear bowling?

Low profile ankle socks will look great with any bowling outfit. Depending on your style, tube socks, mid-calf socks, and knee high socks are other options.

 

Do bowling alleys sell socks?

Generally, no. More upscale and popular bowling alleys might have socks for sale, along with other merchandise, however most places do not sell socks.

 

Can I wear a skirt or a dress bowling?

Skirts and dresses can be worn if they provide enough coverage throughout various movements. In my opinion, Active skirts and dress (with built in shorts) are the best option.

 

What are the best types of women’s clothes for bowling?

Leggings, jeans, t-shirts, pretty blouses/tanks and casual pullover sweaters are popular women’s clothes for bowling. 

 

 

TIPS FOR WHAT TO WEAR BOWLING

Keep these tips in mind as you plan your next bowling outfit.

• Comfort is key. You’ll be doing a lot of different movements bowling so your clothes should be comfortable and not restricting at all.
• Casual attire is a must. Bowling alleys are not fancy. There is no dress code, but athleisure wear or casual attire are popular options.
• Don’t forget your socks. If not wearing socks, don’t forget to stick a pair in your bag!
• Avoid mini skirts.
